About Stevan Allen
Stevan Allen is an award-winning writer, musician, painter, and world traveler with more than 30 years of experience spanning journalism, public relations, and California state government. A published author and two-time recipient of the prestigious Silver Anvil Award for excellence in public affairs, Stevan has worked with presidents, celebrities, top politicians, musicians, and business executives to shape narratives and manage high-profile communications.
His journalism career included reporting for The Washington Post and The St. Petersburg Times and serving as a foreign correspondent during the fall of the Berlin Wall—work that led to his nonfiction book, Roaming Ghostland: The Final Days of East Germany. He later served as press secretary and speechwriter to California Lieutenant Governor Gray Davis, and held senior roles in both the California State Legislature and the global firms Fleishman Hillard and Edelman.
Stevan went on to found two public affairs firms: AllenStrategic and Amplify360, where he led national campaigns on issues ranging from food safety to technology and environmental policy. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and major broadcast outlets.
Today, he splits his time between Northern California and Medellín, Colombia with his wife, Claudia. He continues to explore life’s deeper questions through writing, music, painting, and travel—seeking always to create work that reflects recovery, curiosity, and joy.
